Changeover day

We can be flexible on changeover day depending on other bookings but prefer a Friday, Saturday or Monday. We normally have 2pm as arrival time on the first day and 10am on the day of departure. Depending on other bookings we can sometimes be flexible.

Accommodation

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds.
Bedroom 3 with twin beds.
Bathrooms: En suite showerroom to bedroom one with shower, wc and sink.
Bathroom with bath/shower wc and bidet.
Kitchen: Kitchen fully equipped with cooker, hob, large fridge with small freezer, microwave.
Utility Room: Washing machine with overhead drying space.
Living Rooms: Lounge/diner TV, Sky freeview channels, woodburner, 2 twin sofas, ceiling fan. Dining room table and chairs.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: All linen and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Linen will be changed once a week.

Notes on accommodation

The villa has ceiling fans in each bedroom, the shutters when closed provide a nice breeze during the summer months. The villa is very family friendly. Cots, highchairs and other items can be rented on request.
Smocking is not permitted inside the villas.

Accessibility

No steps into property. 2 small steps to pool area. Walk-in shower.

Outside

Large garden with palm tree to the front. Private swimming pool overlooked by a terrace with patio furniture and sunbeds, Covered terrace ideal for sitting in the shade. Washing line round the back.

Coast/Beach

The beautiful beach of Cala'n Porter is about 10 minutes walk away and can be accessed by a set of steps (not for the faint hearted) or by the beach road which will take another 10 minutes. There is a resort bus that will take you up and down for a small charge. There is a large car park and beach bars and shops. The beach is very safe and clean with life guards on duty from 10am, the water slopes out and is ideal for snorkeling. Sun beds, parasols and pedaloes can be hired.

Golf

Son Parc golf course, about 20 minutes away by car.

Travel

Mahon is the nearest airport, this is about 10 minutes away. You could be in the pool within an hour or two of landing. Car hire is recommended but not essential, Menorca is a very beautiful island and is there to be explored, if not you have everything you could want in Calan Porter itself.

Distances

Mahon is the capital and can be reached in about 15 mins by car, there is a bus service a few times a day. Ciutuadella at the other end of the island can be reached in about 45 minutes.

Further details

Cala'n Porter is full of restaurants and bars offering a wide range of food and evening entertainment. The fun house offers bouncy castles a ball pit and games console to keep the kids happy while you have a drink or two. A resort train will take you down to the beach. There is a visit the harbour of Mahon. The harbour is the 2nd deepest in the world, 2nd only to Pearl Harbour. The port is home to the gin factory where you can sample lots of spirits and take home a bottle of gin. There are plenty of shops, with a market twice a week. There are two water parks on the island about 45 minutes away. Monte Toro the highest mountain in Menorca can be reached by car and offers stunning views of the whole island on a clear day. Fornells a beautiful fishing village where the king of Spain comes to eat lobster & is well worth a visit and can be reached in about 25 mins.
